Carmen's Bio:
In 2025 I joined Orion Area Youth Assistance as a Caseworker. It has been a pleasure working along aside the OAYA Board of Directors and getting to know Lake Orion families, community members, and our wonderful sponsors.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University and later completed my Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Wayne State University. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with youth and families in a variety of settings.
I bring with me a strong passion for supporting youth and families, and I look forward to continuing to build relationships and work together to further the impactful work of Orion Area Youth Assistance.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, taking nature walks and exploring new places around the Detroit metropolitan area.
